Externship Program
Externship practicum opportunities are available to advanced doctoral students from American Psychological Association (APA)-accredited graduate training programs only. Extern positions are currently offered at multiple sites (Baltimore VA Medical Center, Baltimore VA Annex, Perry Point VA Medical Center, and Cambridge VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic). Internship Program
The predoctoral internship at the VA Maryland Health Care System/University of Maryland School of Medicine Psychology Internship Consortium is fully accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of the American Psychological Association. The next site visit will be during the academic year 2016.
As an internship training program recognized by the Academy of Psychological Clinical Science, we are committed to advancing a scientist-practitioner model of training. We are particularly interested in applicants from graduate programs that place an equally strong emphasis on a sound foundation in scientific psychology and broad clinical training.

Psychology Internship Consortium - Baltimore
Postdoctoral Fellowship Program in Clinical Neuropsychology
The postdoctoral fellowship at the Baltimore VA Medical Center is not yet accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of the American Psychological Association. An application for accreditation is in process, and a site visit is expected by 2013.
The Neuropsychology service will recruit postdoctoral fellows for this program via the Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers (APPIC) match process for postdoctoral fellowship in Neuropsychology. Interviews will occur on site and at the annual meeting of the International Neuropsychological Society (INS). Selection will proceed as specified by the Association of Postdoctoral Programs in Clinical Neuropsychology (APPCN). The successful candidate will have completed a specialty training program in neuropsychology or completed an internship with a primary concentration in neuropsychology. The match number for the program is 8372.

Psychology Postdoctoral Fellowship - Baltimore
Postdoctoral Fellowship Program in Trauma Recovery
The postdoctoral fellowship at the Baltimore VA Medical Center is not yet accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of the American Psychological Association. An application for accreditation is in process, and a site visit is expected by 2013.
A successful candidate for the Trauma Recovery Program (TRP) will have a history of specialty training in trauma and PTSD. The candidate will also demonstrate a commitment to the scientist-practitioner model of psychology as evidenced by history of research on trauma or PTSD, training in empirically supported treatments for PTSD. The Trauma Recovery Program will participate in the Uniform Notification Date with Option for Reciprocal Offer (UNDr).

VA Interprofessional Fellowship Program in Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Recovery for Veterans with Serious Mental Illness
The Interprofessional Fellowship Program in Psychosocial Rehabilitation is a state-of-the-art clinical training program that focuses on the theory and practice of psychosocial rehabilitation and recovery. Individualized, mentored clinical and research training is combined with a curriculum that emphasizes a comprehensive psychosocial rehabilitation approach to service delivery, education, and implementing change in a mental health care setting.
