Internship Program
The predoctoral internship at the Missouri Health Sciences Psychology Consortium is fully accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of the American Psychological Association. The next site visit will be during the academic year 2012.
The Missouri Health Sciences Psychology Consortium is an APA-approved Internship site. Doctoral students in APA approved clinical or counseling psychology programs who have completed at least 1000 hours of applied psychological training experience and the approval of the Training Director are eligible to apply. In addition, eligible candidates will have completed all coursework required for the doctoral degree as well as the major qualifying, comprehensive, or preliminary doctoral examinations prior to the internship year. Stronger candidates likely have completed, or nearly completed their doctoral dissertation.

Postdoctoral Fellowship Program
The structure of the Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans’ Hospital (HSTMVH) Psychology Postdoctoral Fellowship Program follows the format of the substantive traditional practice area of Clinical Psychology, as defined by APA’s Policy Statements and Implementing Regulations. The postdoctoral fellowship at the Columbia, MO VAMC is currently undergoing review by the Commission on Accreditation of the American Psychological Association. Within the Clinical Psychology Training Program, we offer training in two areas of emphasis:
1. Assessment and Treatment of Veterans with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
2. Evidenced Based Practice (EBP)
