Tucson - Southern Arizona VA Health Care System

Eighteen SAVAHCS psychologists and one consulting psychologist from the community comprise the Psychology training staff. SAVAHCS psychologists participate independently as members of the treatment teams of most Mental Health programs, Home based Primary Care, Pain Clinic, and the Polytrauma team. Psychological Assessment programs, based in the Mental Health Care Line, serve the entire medical center on a consultation basis.

Internship Program

The pre-doctoral internship at the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System in Tucson, Arizona is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of the American Psychological Association. The next site visit will be during the academic year 2013. For details about the internship, please see the brochure.

Postdoctoral Fellowship Program

The Postdoctoral Fellowship program is a traditional practice program emphasizing advanced skill in the areas of treatment, assessment, and consultation as applied to treating traumatized veterans. Treatment and assessment of PTSD is emphasized. Please see the brochure for additional information.
